Boat Hire in Empuriabrava

If your visiting Empuriabrava this year and thinking of hiring or mooring a boat, you could not be coming to a better place. Empuriabrava is Europe's biggest inland marina with many Boat Hire companies, for a day, week or more. You can hire a boat to take a trip around the canals to view the beautiful scenery and fantastic water front villas. Empuriabrava has over 5000 moorings, with many available in the Marina, which is on the main canal and only a few minutes from the harbour entrance. So if you are visiting Empuriabrava or the surrounding area in 2008, boating in the area is definitely not a problem.

Their are also many main Boat Dealers located within Empuriabrava, and every Easter, the town is home to one of the biggest Second and Brand new boat shows.

Empuriabrava Mooring Problems.

Empuriabrava Moorings are still basically in limbo, stuck between the owners and the Government trying to take their property. In September 2600 will be called upon to finalize what part of the Canals and Moorings will be taken and owned by the Government. The same problem is also happening in Santa Margarida, the Mayoress of Roses will be travelling to Madrid to fight on behalf of the town to try and keep the moorings and canals seperate from the Spanish Coastal Law. I guess time will tell, from the meeting in Madrid in August and the meeting for the mooring owners in Empuriabrava in September.
