Property Rentals in Empuriabrava and how to get the best deal.

Having lived in the Spanish holiday town of Empuriabrava for over 7 years, has helped me understand how the property rental system works.

Firstly and I'm sure the obvious one is that, if you go to a rental agency to rent a villa or apartment, you will surely be paying them a commission or charge that they take for advertising the property. Most people will have heard of Owners Direct, a very popular website, where you can go and rent a property direct from the owner.

This website has grown to become a #1 source for great deals on holiday rentals, the obvious being that their are no agency fees.

The town of Empuriabrava is awash with so many rental and real estate agencies that sometimes people are spoiled for choice. Empuriabrava, mainly a seasonal town, in summer the population grows from 80,000 to sometimes over 150,000, this can be a problem for the people that live here.

Their are many agencies in the town, some have been here for many years, and have a great reputation for having high quality rentals. The down side for some agencies, and i wont mention any, is that they can be left with the not so high quality properties.

If you are thinking of visiting Empuriabrava this summer or maybe in the near future, it is worth looking deeply into where you may take your rental from. The agencies will have all the facilities to fix any problems that may occur whilst you are in the property, but may charge higher fees.

Taking a rental direct from the owner may save you money, but make sure you check that if their are any problems, the owner has the facilities to solve any problem whilst you are in the property. Some owners may not be in the country while you are in their house, this may cause problems, as I'm sure you can understand.
